Chicago Hyde Park Village introduces . . .

Happy Healthy Aging

In this program experts on aging will help you to live your best life. You’ll learn powerful strategies that combine wellness and planning for the future to help you remain active and independent. A 10-week program is designed to help community members learn the keys to aging independently at home. The program focuses on health—physical and mental—and creating a unique, individual plan for aging as you wish. Happy Healthy Aging meets twice a week for eight weeks. Each week, two complementary sessions form a solid foundation for a positive, proactive approach to your later years.

On Your Feet

Part health education, part exercise, this session provides the knowledge, skills, and motivation to achieve an active, healthy lifestyle.

Age as You Wish

This session provides an opportunity to discover possibilities and to imagine your future. Create your own customized and comprehensive plan to age on your own terms.

Each week promises added clarity and energy. Lasting connections within our community will help you on your journey.

We incorporate lifelong learning, peer support, empowerment, and experiential learning within a structured format so that participants are supported to improve their health and clarify their goals to age with ease in the community. The program helps to grow community cohesiveness and develop peer leaders with knowledge critical to aid both themselves and their community.
